Washer repair in Houston, TX

We repair front-load, top-load and stacked washers, from upstairs laundry rooms to garage setups and apartment closets.

Front-load washer and dryer in a laundry room

Most washer repairs involve the drain pump, the lid or door lock, the suspension, the water inlet valve, or the control board. Error codes help narrow it down, and so does knowing exactly where in the cycle it stops.

Common problems

Washer not draining

Standing water at the end of a cycle usually means a clogged pump filter, a blocked drain hose, or a failed drain pump.

Check first: On front-loaders, check the small filter door at the bottom front (have towels ready). Make sure the drain hose is not kinked.

When to call: Call if the pump hums but no water moves, or the filter is clear and it still will not drain.

Washer not spinning

A washer that will not spin may have an unbalanced load, a drain problem, a lid or door lock fault, or a worn belt or motor part.

Check first: Redistribute the load and run a drain-and-spin cycle on its own.

When to call: Call if it still will not spin with a small balanced load.

Washer leaking

Leaks come from fill hoses, the door boot on front-loaders, the pump, or the tub seal.

Check first: Check the hose connections at the wall and look for tears in the door boot.

When to call: Call if water appears during the wash and you cannot find a loose hose.

Washer noisy or shaking

Heavy shaking usually means worn suspension or shock absorbers, or a machine that is not level. Grinding can mean bearings.

Check first: Level the machine and check for coins or a bra wire in the drum or pump filter.

When to call: Call if it walks across the floor or grinds on spin.

Washer not filling

No water usually means closed valves, kinked hoses, clogged inlet screens, or a failed inlet valve.

Check first: Open both supply valves fully and check the hoses for kinks.

When to call: Call if water reaches the hoses but not the tub.

Washer showing an error code

The code usually points to drain, door lock, water supply or motor problems, but it is a starting point, not the whole diagnosis.

Check first: Write down the exact code and when in the cycle it appears.

When to call: Call with the model number and the code; it helps us bring the right parts.
